on sunday, i watched Death Note with Jing Wen. H and J went for lunch, but they were so emo, i was so afraid... anyway, girl time. and the show was SUPER NICE! i could write reflections on it, but then who would bother to read.

the story:
Light Yagami is a brilliant, but bored, high school student who resents the crime and corruption in the world. His life undergoes a drastic change when he discovers a mysterious notebook, known as the "Death Note", lying on the ground in the year 2003. The Death Note's instructions claim that, if a human's name is written within it, that person shall die. Light is initially skeptical of the Death Note's authenticity, believing it is just a prank. However, after experimenting with it and killing two criminals, Light is forced to admit that the Death Note is real. After meeting with the true owner of the Death Note, a Shinigami named Ryuk, Light seeks to become "the God of the new world" by passing his judgement on criminals.
Soon, the number of inexplicable deaths of reported criminals catches the attention of the International Police Organization and a mysterious detective known only as "L". L quickly learns that the serial killer, dubbed by the public as "Kira"(derived from the Japanese pronunciation of the English word "Killer"), is located in Japan. L also concludes that Kira can kill people without laying a finger on them. Light realizes that L will be his greatest nemesis, and a race to prove mental superiority between the two begins.

JW and i actually bought sweet popcorn and strawberry-cream lollipops to suck forr L=)

reporT: thoughtS oN thE 3 daY orientatioN programmE'

this is from my report, ( adapted ) to be handed in to Ms Chan on Mon.

"I'm really new to St. Nicks but am VERY happy to say that 1 Truth has ( and still is ) helping me settle in! Enthusiastic and friendly is a nice combination. On the first day of school, we had talks about CCAs and the upcoming camp as well as a safety lecture. The class had opportunities to socialise with each other too.

2nd day! Getting slightly better at not being late again...it was "Talent Discovery" Day. Auditioned for various types of CCAs, for example, Dance, Gymnastics, Athletics, Netball and many others. I know I have a heart condition, but I still tried my best! Whew, what a tiring day.

Friday, the long-awaited orientation camp! A time of bonding, and learning secrets/habits about each other...our student counsellors were excellent role-models and leaders, taking care of us and leading us to the different stations. We joined in "Minefield", "Spiderweb","Water-Games" and such. The bathing session was rather awkward ( ohdear Francine ) ,but we got by. Did you know, St. Nick's food is awesomely yummy. The campfire was beautiful though the rain came afterwards and we tried to chase her away. Our class cheer rocks. It includes parts from the following: Normal Enthu Cheer, Tokyo Drift, Shalalalaala, Spongebob Squarepants, and Fergalicious. T-T-T-Tttt --tasteh TASTEH. I love the funny campfire songs! Calamine lotion, Gakos and Piongs, Cannibal Kings, Pearly Shells and Father Abraham nananaaananananaa. It was cold at night...glad classmates were there! ( Martha Ku-ching, how dare you kick my face. But I didn't feel it so its okay.=P ) CCA Fair on Saturday. No XTremes for me, so here I come ELDDS! Lay out the red carpet! ( Infocomm stop plastering stickers on me! Okay okay i'll put it as 3rd choice! )

1 Truth, whoopee. all the drama girls ( 25 ) and MEPs ( the rest of 'em ) . Shuen- Diligence, Hui Lin- Purity, Sammy- Unity, Charyl- Unity, Elspeth- Justice, Si Jia- Justice, Lai Sum- Faith. hope they make friendsies=) i did!

Shuen and i were seconds to being late, dropped our bags at the spec stands and hightailed it to our new class rows on teh field. Jeanette let me stand in front of her, where i met two other girls..i was kinda lost. around the whole school thing, and while saying the pledge and school song ( hello chinese. like, forever. )

we were given lectures on safety inside and outside school, and teh teachers are NOt afraid of saying the gross stuff. let me just forget about elaborating. and then the CCA and Orientation Camp talk.

class? we have this teacher which i believe will turn out to be quite strict..Ms Chan. my classmates are really nice. there are some cliquedd', pretty, cute, weirdd, quiet, cool, {obsessive about my eating during recess, but that's all right. like my PLedd', credits to Pris and Charyl forr baby-feeding me=)}, Tellitubbies and Barney fans. they were talking about death note 2: the last name. damn coolers. but not allowed to watch. DVD, you shall be MINE...arghh=P my motheh says the drama people are artsy-fartsy. i say, that's just stereotyping them. that's COOLERS. and they have such nice names! my partner, she's Chantel, other interesting names: Francine, Jeanette Flower, Erina, Saacha, Colleen, Cabrini, Rae-ann and her twin sister, Rose-ann. *name correction

okay, i'll probably update more, after the Orientation Camp? St. Nick's is really friendly. and i can officially call myself a Nickelodeon. the uniform's a bit weird cos' i'm not used to it, and i have to CLIP my fringe ( aww man )... at least they allow handphones, just can't use in class. but i can tell, this school year's gonna be darn funn...

jump into it! a New Year 2007 party, jointly organised by Miu & Co. inspiration from me and Handsem! and, everybody ( almost everybody ) seconded the notion! yay parties! *i have Ah Ee's genes? winkies*

i dressed in a black rose dress, black tights, black socks ( ankle ) but didn't get to put on the goth black bracelet. save it and teh armwarmers forr Ri-en=P anyway, Lim Shuen was out, so i ran to her house 3rice to find the KFC disc...panic! and James&Joseph were here already... its weird how you entertain guests with the TV, riite? found the disc. IN her xbox. ran home, sweating after bathing o.O they eventually saw my room! and did NOT discover where my k1/2 clothes were XD though the kids TRASHED roomie pretty badly.

the guys had a Halo Tournament. Nicky, Handsem, Kester ( because i begged him to^^ ), James, Preston ( no one could chase him away ), John, yeah that's about it. i wonnie James, Handsem and Bryan at DOA4... NO WAY was i gonna play with Tim. he would completely blow my good luck away. the Jinx, JW, didn't curse me that much actually! Cheat was really funn=) though my partners were, uhh, a little distracting and helped me "get rich". Mr. Cool and Handsem. next time i play by myself XD Kes and Handsem won. buddies hi-fiv, l0w ten w0rs=D

talking about luck, i actually got x8 psychadelic in Audiiti0n just before teh party! good sign, or what?

mostly the gaming...the kids played Twister, the Game of Life ( but life stops being a game when you pause the match for a bathroom break? ), spilled Coke in my room, messed around on the drums, disorientated my CDS, generally disturbed us, and were happy. i think its the last one that matters, actually.

we played with sparklers! and i learned how to use a lighter! ( Mummeh dun see this. ) its JW's weakness ( tells the whole world^^ ) very FUNN...i also got revenge on her for teasing mi about Handsem...=D put her out with confetti wh00t. we ran around like crazy people, waving de sparklers...dizzy w0rs...=)

Kes challenged Lim Shuen to racing...touch the mirror...and they tied=) i beat Handsem at racing! but that was because he gave me chance...started different position w0rs..=D

then at the few seconds before New Year, all eyes were riveted to the TV ( the Mediacorp event was ridiculous ), i was standing next to the aunties and nowhere near my friendsters... 3, 2, 1, Wh00t! Happy New Year! shake hands, went out to the streets screaming/shouting our hearts out...with the "uncles" in it...

it was a special start to 2007. and i hope the rest of the year will be special, as well...
