When you try your best,
but you don't succeed
When you get what you want,
but not what you need
When you feel so tired,
but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse
And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone, but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
And high up above or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try you'll never know
Just what you're worth
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
Tears stream down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down your face
And I...
Tears stream down on your face
I promise you
I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down your face
And I...
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

-fix you

fedorafree

talk with AH su lao shi :O
let's not mouth the bad things
"if you cut out the bad, well then you'd have nothing left"

learn the different types of zhong zi :O
through an interactive video lol. there's like hokkien, dousa (sweet) and a gazillion more

bao zhong zi :O
the aunty who helped me is very nice. however i think they got my stupidity and ignorance of knowing my traditional earthbound chineeeeeeeese roots on camcamerara

trying to eat zhong zi :O
let'snotgointothat. the two i took were both uncooked LOL
yellowricecoloured ones are supposed to be steamed well!
what happened was we used banana leaves, spooned about 2 and a 1/2 fuls of rice into it, wrapped it up nicely (not me) and tied them with raffia attached to a longlong pole. it would later be lowered into a gigantic vat of hot water (ohmy) while the smell emnated tantalisingly
what happened was the result was meant to be good and meant to be dipped in sugar and i agree with neither and hence i didn't chompy it

reflection on zhong zi :O
i achieved 10 lines :D of crap about cleanliness, teamwork, fun, understanding, application of chinese culturalh history, Qu Yuan, dots.

ld auditions :O
after reading today's newspapers (must really really make it a habit.) we watched "a walk to remember" and sharon really killed the mood lol

homeward bound :O
i dare you to move.

LAST DAY OF NOTHINGNESS IS OVER.
we're going down swinging'
_____

maybe i shall browse-online-shop, play neopets, blog, go out shopping, go for extra chinese lessons and tuition, church camp, additional school planned courses, force myself to meditate at the piano and do chinese homework, and nudge my school homework. maybe.

netizen

I am a netizen.
And, like other netizens, they share their personal opinions on the world wide web.
Simply put, their blogs and xanga accounts.
However this is something I MUST abstain from doing in this case. MUSTMUSTMUST

Blahblahtypewriter
So it was MGS vs SCGS and HCI vs ACSI who made it through to the semi-finals
And in the finals, expectedly, HCI (prop) vs SCGS (opp).
It was a ____ debate.
It was ___ executed.
I ___ enjoyed it.
I ____ expect SCGS to win.
Only ___ hear the good stuff.
Yay, Youth-14s has come to a close.
PRAYING, DYING FOR, BEGGING FOR,
CRAVING, SALIVATING FOR, IN DESPAIR FOR
another competition to justify myself.

spent a gorgeous day with priscilla, clara and the pl company. the pretty flowers meant for you and me (bye priscillae)

lifepost-it

cip, no competitions, no training, no assignments, no tests, no homework ( except holiday schoolmade chores and certain projects )
+ LIFE is back, i need to catch up on it. similar to the star world series. IMHO. (in my humble opinion)

there are so many things i've learnt this term
of course, i can't put all of it into the reflection, to be submitted to mrs nath. haha, well i suppose thats where a blog comes in(:
i've learnt about
relationships with friends. like how times come and go and my rash emotions and biased logic just throw my happy memories and positive sides off course. i must treasure them! especially as some of my friends are applying for IP- indeed, every second counts. and lets resolve to keep the good parts laminated and intact.

music. i like something hillary introduced to me long time ago but i didn't listen to it. :D i'm not that used to goldfrapp just yet, but the last goodnight is totally rad! hah so addicted to it - poison kiss. (: i resolve to get the cd after my newfound liberation.

cherish. mr alex teoh is leaving. but he has spoken to us, not once, not twice, but constantly, about the most important things in life. the good thing is, he shares philosophies from his own life stories.. so you know, you can't doubt it. and its really sad when you hear that education is the only way to get you to the top. i mean, i don't want to spend my entire life stepping on people or becoming a hermit nerd. no, i shall resolve to balance equations - Friends + Studies + Fun + Family = 4x A fruitful life. he also mentioned, that time flies.. and very soon, things will be changing. "nothing is constant; but change is constant." how true that is - and how i really really don't want to regret anything. it will be so scary if i look back and see all the things i should've done. all the times i procrastinated. everything that could have made a difference. its going to be hard time managing and making priorities and still keeping your soul alive, but i'll just have to undergo trial and error. nothing is perfect, and no one knows the fall of trying harder than scientists.

groupwork. the thing is, i frequently lose my cool because of the tight schedules - two to three meetings in a day with different people with different agendas, and sometimes co-operation is tough - i noticed i blow a fuse too often. and with tensions running high and friendships strained, its hard. but i must control myself as well as speak up when something is wrong - i won't be in the dark, or left to shoulder burdens. i must do what i think right - and if wrong, then i'll learn from it. i'll also need to pray more so that i can be closer to God - or my long and wnding path will have no direction.

okay, i need to start catching up with my life, my church friends (who i recently realised and revelated - will stick with me still and you helped me a lot! thanks kester), my shopping (i have no clothes i swear and my presents are all waaay overdue).
hope i won't resort back to gaming!

P.S. happy birthday clara quah :D LOL.
"Clara for best speaker! If disagreeable, riot pls."
"P.S. -insert nickq's face for a morale booster and good luck charm.-"

Jokes aside, thanks clara for being such a good friend! you're closer to me this year for the strange reason of debate, i hope that we will still keep in touch even until the end of sec 4(: we can jiayouh together and maybe even force our juniors to spar together also. haha, thanks for giving me advice and listening to me too! you're really a great friend indeed. (:

U14s

God, where to start? Well let's start off with a simple: We didn't break it.
Factually:
Round 1 - Won over Australian International School [AIS]
Round 2 - Lost to Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) [ACSI]
Round 3 - Lost to Singapore Chinese Girls School [SCGS]
Spiritually:
We're all real down of course, that we didn't break for semis. Although this is a personal opinion and maybe isn't elaborated to what a judge would like to hear or what someone has to say about it, I feel that we did deserve a chance to go further in the Youth 14s competition; we gained great progress and improvement, learned about each other's talents which just shot through right out on the floor, had team spirit (even being agitated together, although thats not very good hahaha) and most importantly, worked hard. Our efforts combined was like a bomb shelter. Okay thats a very weird analogy. I don't like terrorists. I shall leave the analogy-ing to Yvette and Sharon in future. Anyway, the bomb struck (U14s) and we like didn't go down under because we had strong foundations (Xuwen the best trainer ever and seniors the most supportive ever). We steeled ourselves with hard bricks (effort) and cement (the attitude of never being complacent). We painted a rainbow on the bomb shelter for good measure. (Wdh okay this means we play and still have fun amidst the stress) And in the end, we received.. a dent. Not enough -hopefully, to kill us and destroy our morale, but to spur us on, so that we can be the best, unbeatable, award-winning, indestructable, Missus Incredibles bomb shelter. And make Claire, Xuwen, Seniors, Friends, All the people who pin their hopes on us and St. Nicks proud because we have saved lives (er not literally. Doesn't connect at all but it means at the end of the day we have gained knowledge and a better impression of world issues; winning is not everything but it does prove your standard and gaining recognition for the school) I just hope that from now on, if we pick up this speed and just be so spurred on, go all out for debate because we love what we do and we know we do have the potential to carry out what we can do. And though I feel as wasted (in the better sense of the word) as the rest of you, we have "nowhere to go but up." And no-one can ever blow up or poke the bomb shelter even if its sitting in the crater of a volcano or the centre of Iraq or the bottom of the ocean (okay like huh) because one for all, all for ben and jerrys. Well you know what we'll aim for and what we'll be.
At the end of the day.

Proper Debrief of the day :O
